Here's Baby Girl getting her first hair cut. Yep, she's 3 years, 4 months old and it's her first. I so wanted the mullet to grow out BEFORE I chopped that long beautiful hair! Still past shoulder length and will be perfect for the wedding in July! Here's Baby Boy at the 'mane' cutting event!
I NEVER said I was good at this computer thing and I can't quite find the time to figure out things (how to post, how to add a picture, how to go backwards in my thought process so Baby Girl's picture can be first, then Baby Boy's), as when I'm happy enough to realize I'm home, I've got work to do -both house work and work work-, and when I'm done with work I try and do things with the kids. That said, I'm going to try and post some pictures here.....see? Copmuter Illiterate. I can't read nothin' no-how!
Somebody's gotta help me out on this. It has to be easier than it took for me to switch the two photos and type all the stuff beneath......ACK!

Work, Work, Work....
Do I wish to be typing work at home today? No! Do I need some extra hours (because a certain Mom fell and broke her hip and now I have to use a sitter for two days a week ::wink::) to pay bills and is the work load 'bigger' than normal? Yep! So here I am!
Baby Boy just woke up, so I am trying to squeeze this in. I've got a list of things to do today! Typing my report is a big part of it! I guess I'm using this as a break. Baby Girl of course wants to play on the computer, but that may be a while before she's able to get on! ....uggghhh.....
Upon reading yesterday's blog.....another way of looking at that party on Sat. is I'm just too old! Ha! I have resolved to setting up my own birthday gathering two friday's from now, so Husband can watch the kids and I and friends can go to a show or dinner or both.......Hey, if he's got a $45 a week horrible habit, then I deserve a night out now and then. Poor timing on the budget? Yes! Needed? Definitely! = )
What'd I get for my birthday? Once again, it was not something I asked for, but it was thoughtful somewhat. I have a new under the cabinet radio/cd player in the kitchen......guess who installed it? Guess who finally put together the play kitchen? But also guess who STILL HASN'T CLEARED OFF the dining room table?! So it was an 'almost' really good gift, but the radio/player that the new one replaced was a hand-me-down and clicked annoyingly from the moment we installed it, which really irritated Husband. So I guess it was a gift for the both of us! Ha!
Gotta go! Nana and Papa are here to help me check off one the items on my list! !!!! Bringing in the paper for signing up Baby Girl for Pre-School! Whaaaahhhhhh! :: wink::

Celebrations.....
This past Sat. I went to a lavish surprise birthday party. A cocktail hour with hors deserves , live music (one guy with a guitar-but very good), and a dinner......Get this, for someone who was turning 30.......30?!?!?!?!?!? How do you top that?!
The invite said no gifts, so you know there were those who brought and those who disregarded and brought anyways. Now, this is my friend, my daughter's Godmother......I know when her birthday is and will give a gift on that day AND I abided by the wishes of the party thrower....
That' said, the food was wonderful, music was great, company was fabulous, at least who I was with.......but in the midst of if all......was the Steppford's wives club. I don't quite know when it happened, but this friend, my best friend, jumped into a world of outward perfection presentation..... Now, I know everyone has their quirks and I recall my friend telling me that none of these ladies would give her the time of day when she originally became a stay-at-home Mom.............Anyways, it was a lovely celebration, I had a nice time and I need to spend more time with one of my best friends!
Typing this today is difficult. I have Baby Girl on my lap......begging to play a computer game and I still have to work.........bummer!
Until later!

Fear of Full Time Return
Well, things have gotten pretty busy here at work and I am not a happy camper. Sure, I was ready for a little busy, but things are almost getting out of hand! I've spent more hours at home on the computer this week than any i've been on before. That scares me! I do not want to go back to full -time. Not now, not ever really, but hey, I can dream, can't I?
I've neglected my little Blog because I could actually write it when I was home and now that I'm busy working when Baby Boy is sleeping I can't have fun. Not to mention I couldn't even get ON the internet Monday or yesterday! What's up with that?!?!?
Sorry so short, but broke in at work.....just in case I can't get on tonight or tomorrow....

Productive Mornings
Everyone needs a productive morning once in a while, don't they? The kitchen table has been cleared (Husband will really appreciate that one.....we'll see if the dining room table gets cleared...), I've showered, both kids are bathed, we had breakfast, I've started the dishwasher, a load of laundry, checked e-mails at work. Speaking of work, did I mention that I lost the first bet and I owe my boss lunch? We're on another round of betting and I've got 8 pounds to go!
Oh, I also checked regular e-mails and Baby Boy has had a nap, a short one, but a nap. The rest of the plans include Dr.'s office to pick up a note so the Member's Benefit card will pay for Pediasure (my underweight son) and hopefully to visit Nana in the hospital and have some lunch.....that's quite hopeful and my energy may just peter out by then!
I've found my idea for $ making....somehow....how about creating a network program/web site for part-time working Mom's who will watch other part-time working mom's kids? The Mom's would need to be in the same town (or almost the same town...Nope, same town, that way after school is covered), similar working hours, same number of children, obviously have similar parenting techniques (they meet and interview each other, see if it's a good fit.....and work two days a week (Tues. through Fri.). I figured on rare instances, Mondays would be in the mix, but schools are out so many Monday's because of holidays I don't' think it's worth it. That way, Part-time Mom's wont have to pay for anyone to watch their children and grandparents can visit or give the children a special day when they want to.......There, there it is, my Million Dollar idea.....
How's that for a productive Wed. morning?

Yesterday's Curve Ball
I got a call at 7:28 am from the hospital Sunday morning. Mom had feared waking us up....HA! We were up since 6:00 am. I was just about the get in the shower and get the kids ready to go to her house and then onto Sunday School & Church. Here's where the curve ball comes in. She would've either been lying on the floor in pain or passed out when we got there OR just not there....Turns out she broke her hip, yep, broke it. Broke the ball right off the top of her femur bone.....Surgery is today. She was stepping over a baby gate because she wanted to let the dog roam the kitchen as a 'treat' while Dad was away at his golf trip. He had just left early Sat. morning. So, she hoisted her leg mostly over the gate, but her slipper got caught and DOWN SHE WENT!
I was disheartend at first when I saw where the call was coming from, but was somehow relieved to hear that she fell of her own clumsy accord as opposed to passing out and falling.....weird, isn't it?!
So, on our side the first thought was to find a sitter as Mom had been watching the kids the two days a week that I work. Mission accomplished as the prior sitter was more that happy to watch the kids for a few days for a few, maybe four weeks.....We'll see how surgery goes.
Life never goes how you plan it........
The over-night was not the best, Baby Boy got up twice (bad teething at the moment) and so did Baby Girl...potty breaks. Which I"d prefer potty breaks to changing diapers or changing sheets......But needless to say, I'm tired!
This morning I also got a call from my neighbor who'd been up all night sick (she believes and hopes it was food poisoning....so do I)......Because she asked me to watch her daughter a little while while her Mom travels down to help her out. I'm hoping she's getting in some good sleep, as she's got things rough on her own. Her husband is deployed and it's been a tough couple months already!
I'm wondering if the part-time thing is going to work out, although I felt I was just getting the hang of it and the schedule and then, BOOM! I don't like that the kids will be going into day care again, but the provider really missed them, really Baby Boy......he's always a happy boy! I'm also not looking forward to that. It'll be tough on him to go to day care, but at least Baby Girl will be there for him.......
I'm waiting for my handsome boy to wake up now. I'm also keeping the girls from fighting over toys........ To go from 2 to 3 automatically is TOUGH! Who new it would be this hard?!? Not that I can't handle it, it's just out the norm...... Hopefully she won't go home with any boo-boos. I didn't do so well the first time I watched her, as right in front of me, she slid down the wood pole in our basement and scraped up her back.......I felt TERRIBLE......

Irritating things
Here's a list of irritating things..... a 1.5 hour wait for Baby Boy to visit the Dr.! somehow I'm fine up until the hour mark, once that hits, I'm extremely irritated. There was good news and bad news. The hydronephrosis seems to be correcting itself and there's no more excess fluid around his testicles. The bad news, his little opening may need to get snipped and his little guy may have to have a procedure done. After 5 minutes of the Dr.'s time, my time was up?!?!? Ugghhhh! What's up with that?! So another 6 months and we'll do an ultra-sound and follow-up to see if anything corrects itself a little more......
I'm irritated at the wedding stuff. Mostly at my husband. He's not a bad guy but the actual trip is overwhelming him so much that he's having a fit.....He's got questions that I don't have immediate answers to. I don't work at the airlines, therefore a call is required to retrieve answers......just irritating. Not to mention the hotel where the wedding is at has special packages on the weekends that are a better rate than the 'wedding party' rate.......So now, I'm waiting on a call back from the hotel to get that rate for the four nights we'll be there. It's a Sun. wedding.....we need to be there Thurs. night because the rehearsal dinner is on .........(phone call from hotel).......Good news, got the good rate for Fri., Sat. & Sun. wedding rate for Thurs.....shrug.....
Now, we've got to get our stuff together for airline tickets. Gotta go for now, nap time......more later....
